How Vaping Devices Work

Vaping devices contain a small tank, a heating coil and a battery.

They create an aerosol from a liquid solution (sometimes referred to as e-liquid) through heating, but not burning. The user inhales this aerosol replicating the visual and sensory aspects of smoking. There is no combustion involved and no smoke is created.

There are different types of devices available. These include rechargeable and refillable devices, rechargeable pod devices and non-rechargeable and non-refillable devices, sometimes called ‘disposables’.

Because it does not involve any combustion, vaping is significantly less harmful that smoking cigarettes and has also helped thousands of smokers reduce or quit cigarette smoking completely.
